Kevin came to us with an unparalleled determination. His original motivation was simply to get healthy enough to be able to play with his kids in various athletic activities. He would challenge himself each week, reach that goal, then set the bar higher for the following week. It worked – he completed the challenge of the bike/hike/bike in a record two hours. He climbed the infamous Santa Monica stairs – over one hundred eighty steps high – in an unprecedented twenty times in one hour. By the time he left us, he had reached a level of fitness typically only enjoyed by elite athletes, and hopes his kids will have trouble keeping up with him!
